Educators

Educators are a crucial part of our team.  Teachers can have several roles with 5280 Explorers:

• Teachers nominate student travelers.  We rely on teachers to help us make contact with those kids who have earned the opportunity for travel from their hard work and excellent character.

• Teachers are Lead Explorers. Through our network, teachers can apply to come with us as Leaders. Lead Explorers travel at almost no cost, but it is NOT a vacation! :) Please click HERE for link to our application.
  

• Teachers can be future Group Leaders under our 5280 Explorers plan. We help teachers who are interested in running their own tours with our guidelines, techniques, and experience in recruitment, customer service and more. These leaders may be able to get financial aid for their groups through our plan.

Financial Aid and Fundraising

• 5280 Explorers is a non-profit corporation, and we are raising funds to help students achieve the goal of international travel. Beginning in 2020, we will be offering scholarships by application, and helping to subsidize our groups.

• We also run the King Soopers card fundraiser, in which many students have raised up to half their travel cost through everyday family purchasing at the Kroger family of businesses.

• We supply families with ideas and techniques for their own fundraising.
